All property owners are encouraged to file an appeal online through SmartFile. Filing an appeal online ensures timely processing of appeals and ensures all accompanying documentation is easily accessible by analysts.

Recipients of a Class 6, 7, 8, C or L property(s) are now required to file specific information with the Cook County Assessor’s Office. Failure to file a completed, original affidavit with the correct information by the required deadline can result in the loss of your Incentive.

Complete this affidavit, have your signature notarized, list the Permanent Index Number(s) of each parcel of your property receiving an Incentive, and return this affidavit to the Cook County Assessor’s Office by Thursday, March 31, 2022.

Owners of Class S properties, are now required to file an annual affidavit with the Cook County Assessor’s Office. We are also requesting a copy of your current/non-expired U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development project based Section 8 Renewal Contract for Mark-Up-To-Market Project.

Please complete the affidavit, and list the Permanent Index Number(s) participating in the program. The deadline for returning the affidavit is October 20 , 2020.
